Professional Experience

Diogo advises clients in relation to corporate compliance programs, including in-field investigations in several jurisdictions (e.g. Angola, Brazil). In addition, he often represents clients in the purview of administrative and criminal proceedings.

Diogo was recently awarded with "Best Compliance Practice" by Iberian Lawyer's FortyUnder40 (2023) and "Ones to Watch - Portugal" in "Criminal Defense" and "Compliance Practice" by Best Lawyers (2024).

He was formerly part of teams specializing in Anti-Corruption and Internal Investigations at Hughes Hubbard & Reed, in Washington, D.C. and in Paris, as well as at Vieira de Almeida & Associados, in Lisbon.
